What will your information be used for?

The information you provide on this site is collected by the Auditor-General’s Department for the purpose of considering you for employment.

What information do we need from you?

To be considered for employment you will be asked to provide some personal information. This information includes but is not limited to:

  • your name
  • ​address
  • contact details
  • education background
  • employment history
  • referees
  • results of criminal history police checks
  • pre-employment declaration form

How your information will be collected?

We collect information from you when you complete the online application form (held by a third-party data centre – ELMO), as well as at other stages during the selection process.

Storage and access of your information

Your online application will be held by the third-party data centre and is only available for access by the Auditor-General’s Department.

The information collected throughout the selection process with be saved to an employment records file on the Auditor-General’s Department electronic records system (TRIM), and if you are the successful candidate, some of this information will also be saved on your own personal file.

No access will be provided to any other outside party.

Who your information may be disclosed to?

The Department may disclose the information you submit to referees and other relevant organisations (such as recruitment agencies) who perform services on our behalf during the recruitment process.

Other than as stated here, we will not disclose personal information you provide to any outside party, except where you provide your express permission to do so.

Privacy acknowledgement

By submitting this application, you are declaring that:

  • you agree for your information to be accessed for the purpose of consideration for employment within the Auditor-General’s Department
  • the information you have submitted is true and correct and you have not uploaded inaccurate, incomplete, false, or misleading information
  • you understand that any false or misleading information provided in connection with your application for employment may lead to a rejection of your application for employment, or if discovered after employment may amount to misconduct and lead to disciplinary action defined in the Public Sector Act 2009.
